The jumping off point for the design of the Willoughby Floor Lamp was the pinwheel-shaped base. Ian Thornton was inspired to begin at the bottom and design up with this metal floor lamp in a mix of brass and oil-rubbed bronze finishes. Placing the bronze finish in the middle of the thin stem and choosing an off-white shantung shade with black trim were artful moves that bring this composition cohesion.
